Area men report Airman Jimmy C Beckmeyer son of Mr and Mrs Charles F Beckmeyer Rt 2 Lamesa has completed basic training at Lackland AFB He remains for specialized training in security police after a 1972 Lamesa High School graduation He studied the Air Force mission and customs and received human relations instruction Major David L Smith of Lamesa attended the Aerospace Medical Association meeting in Las Vegas as part of the reserve forces medical symposium with other reservists and active duty personnel Barry Goldwater delivered the keynote address with speakers Lt Gen Robert A Patterson and Maj Gen Homer I Lewis.
