Trustees mull high bid for Middle School vocational building

School trustees reviewed bids for a new Middle School vocational building after Haco Inc of Odessa submitted a base bid of 50,391, about 25 percent above the 40,000 estimate. City Council Passes Dog Ordinance On First Reading

At Monday night’s meeting the City Council approved a dog ordinance on first reading requiring dogs to be kept off the streets. Councilman Jim Norris introduced it and Don Bryant seconded it after citing damage to a freshly planted lawn. The measure would take effect if second reading passes, with the city manager to determine enforcement costs, possibly adding a new full time employee.
