Six officers and a dispatcher are being asked to resign from the Lamesa Police Department effective immediately after a City Council mandate this week. Police Chief J.P. Bobo launched a thorough investigation Tuesday afternoon following morning corruption allegations. One patrolman remarked the heat is on during daylong interviews.

Lamesa High School Choirs present Christmas concert
Lamesa High School will stage its annual Christmas concert at 7 30 p m Thursday in the high school auditorium. Larry Wesson says three choirs plus the New Song rock gospel group will perform a program of Christmas and non Christmas music about 115 students participating for about 75 minutes admission is 1 for adults and 50 cents for students.
