Special one way and round trip rail rates announced

The Saats Fe offers one way fares Chicago 22.75 and St. Louis 20. The Santa Fe Route sells Lamar to Omaha ex position 30 day tickets at 23.20. Sale dates June 1 to October 30 with return by November 15 if bought after October 15. Final return limit 11 15 sale June 1 to October 15 at 27.85. Certificates allow one and one fifth fare for round trips to the W. T. U. convention in Denver September 21–23 and the State Fair in Pueblo September 28–30. Inquiries to local agent.

Editorial Association Visits Lamar in Big County Welcome

About 400 editors from the National Editorial Association visited Lamar and Prowers County for a day long tour. They toured reservoirs and irrigated farms, enjoyed a county dinner, praised local products, and marveled at Arkansas Valley prospects. The trip, organized by Lamar citizens and the Great Plains Water Co. with key help from J T Lawless, showcased unity and hospitality.

Community effort lauded for 350 visitors event over 45 miles

W M Wiley praises Lamar Colorado volunteers, farmers, Santa Fe railroad, and local women for hosting 350 strangers. He credits townspeople, farmers, and canal interests for a successful September 17 gathering, predicting united Arkansas Valley growth and strong regional cooperation.

Prowers County Hosts Praised for Editorial Association Visit

The executive committee thanks the farmers of Prowers county and citizens of Lamar and Holly for liberally assisting in entertaining the editorial association last Saturday.
