Granada items list lodge meetings of F Lami Love No 80 and A F and A M Laman Lapar U D meetings, G A R post, and Women’s Relief Corps details. Also church Sunday school, gospel meetings, Juneau notes, local society reports, crime incident at D Dickinson store, and community announcements from Granada and nearby communities.
A well attended picnic was held in Martynia, attracting local residents from the surrounding area. Attendees enjoyed food, games, and community camaraderie, sharing updates and news from the neighborhood.
Messrs Pearl and Oyler plan winter wheat planting while a Davis threshing unit is expected to operate this week. Pleasant Valley School with Miss Fannie Brown opened Wednesday. Pearl reports a fine mile maize and Jerusalem corn crop prospects. Christian Endeavor Society meets weekly at the schoolhouse and the Little Helpers repaired and cleaned the room. Hi Rowe hung a new door and Geo Pearl blocked the stove as Lady members split six large watermelons.
