In Las Animas a special stockholders meeting authorized the Fort Lyon Canal company to sue the Amity canal for priority on 268 cubic feet of Arkansas River water. The plan includes a 10 cent per share assessment and a proposed compromise to split priority. The vote stood 49,000 to 11,000 shares with later measures for reservoir development and colony economics discussed.
