Hop-Growing Lands Spark Colorado Prosperity Seed
A Colorado hop yard near the city, run by M. Van Buren, yields up to 2000 pounds per acre with 30 cent sales last year. Harvesting costs are low and kilns, drying lofts, and 200 pound bales show strong profits. Brewers prize the hops as superior to eastern varieties and on par with Bohemian Bavarian quality.
