Celebration of Weaver Victory Sparks Lamar Square Torch Rally
Voters celebrated Weaver's presumed win with a bonfire and torch light procession by about 30 boys and 7 or 8 men, organized by the Lamar Republican Club. Speakers Thoman Butler Tuttle and Crawford praised democracy and victory in Colorado, while Governor elect Waite was not cheered. The event ended as torches were stored for next fall.
