Labor Committee Replies to Statement of the Alliance
Denver May 17 The executive committee of the unions issued a reply to Citizens Alliance explanations. They deny the claim that organized labor refuses to treat with organized employers. They argue arbitration requires both sides to sign agreements. They state local unions deal with their own employers and support arbitration by the State Board. They criticize the Alliance for allowing workers to be used in strikes and for denying labor the right to strike and boycotts. The letter is signed by D C Coates, chairman, and Henry M Walker, secretary, for the General Executive Committee of Organized Labor.
