Alfalfa Growers Form Arkansas Valley Association
The Arkansas valley alfalfa growers convened at La Junta with A E Bent as chair and F M Wieland as secretary. A committee drafted a plan for a permanent organization naming The Arkansas Valley Alfalfa Growers Association with eleven directors and a $1 annual fee, plus provisions for inspection and marketing of high grade alfalfa hay. The next annual meeting will be in La Junta, and officers were elected by the board after adjournment.
