Graft State Canal Bill No 1 Moves to Senate
The famed graft, State Canal Bill No 1, passed the lower house Monday and moves to the senate. Opposition from Las Animas and western slope lawmakers was strong, but only Gobin of Rocky Ford opposed vigorously. Citizens vow a determined fight to defeat the measure as session wanes, with Senator Frank Wood promising a finish in the senate.

Promotion for Dr. Rader Named Daily Christian Advocate Editor
Dr D L Rader formerly University of Denver financial agent and Colorado Methodist leader now based in Tacoma has been chosen editor of the Daily Christian Advocate during next year’s general conference in Los Angeles.
