About fifty citizens met in Sparks to nominate a city election ticket. A. J. Hottel was elected chairman and Oscar Riker secretary. The ticket includes Frank J. Holmes for mayor and W. J. Johnston C. M. Lee and M. L. Conwell for trustees. All are experienced and active in city affairs and taxation.
Dr Alston Ellis, president of the State Agricultural College at Fort Collins, will lecture at the Lamar M E Church on March 27 in the evening replacing the earlier announced date. Judge Heaton's orchestra will provide music and the full program will be published next week.
Creditors are warned to call and settle debts with the former firm of Huaddle ston & Silver. D L Silver states he will leave Lamar in about ten days and the business must be settled by then.

By order of the Police Magistrate of Lamar Colorado marshal Frank Kelsey will auction four horses description includes a two year old brown horse with star, a three year old black horse, a one year old small black mare branded X1. Auction is April 1 at 2 PM at the Feed Stable in Lamar to satisfy a twenty five dollar judgment plus costs. ]]>
