The Republican town convention met at the courthouse last Tuesday at 2 pm electing J. D. Martin as chairman Grant Lynch as secretary and nominating A H Vanersdale for mayor with M L Conwell D L Silver and W S Sanders as trustees A central committee of H A Billow A Kornman and E F Seeberger was chosen The Democratic convention followed and endorsed Vanersdale while nominating Stephen Harrel Frank Holmes and Wm McClure for trustees urging water supply trees and a new hose house as priorities and calling for tax reductions to fund improvements.
