District No 3 organized in spring 1887 with Asa Brigham J O Stream and E P Thurston as first board. Miss Minnie Billingslea teaches eight month term in Ira Swadley dugout. District No 15 organized 1887 first term taught by Miss Emma Pickle. Several districts report new buildings and active boards, with teachers Miss Florence Pickle Miss Katie Welles and others, and enrollment figures noted. District 24 forms from 14 15 19 with a new frame schoolhouse costing 1400 plus 360 in furnishings. Miss Ellen Strain teaching 23 pupils.
