The United Presbyterians hold services every Sabbath at 11 a.m and a C E meeting at 7:00 p.m. Pastor J C Rawkr invites all. Other churches report worship Sundays at 11 a.m and 1 p.m with 4 p.m sessions. Sunday School times vary with locations. All are invited to attend.

Celebrate the Day Celebration in Lamar on July 3
Lamar invites citizens of Prowers and neighboring counties to a Fourth of July celebration on Saturday July 3 with a sunrise national salute a baseball match for a $25 purse a parade and sports on Main Street and a grand fireworks display in the evening. An executive committee and marshals were named to organize the programs and prizes.

Lamar District Court Adjourns With Several Dockets Remain
The regular term in Lamar opened with Judge Northcatt presiding and a small docket largely disposed of. Notable actions include No. 230 People vs Petticrew marked nolle prosequi and No. 232 People vs Horton ending in acquittal. Judge Vorhees will hear No. 224 on June 22 at Lamar.
