The Normal Institute for District No.8 at Lamar runs August 3 to 17 with E. K. Jones as superintendent and a staff of instructors from Lamar, Kiowa, Otero and Prowers counties. Program covers primary methods, physiology, civil government, geography, psychology, arithmetic, writing and grammar. Attendees may take a state teacher examination with possible 5 percent grade boost. enrollment fee $1, board $4.50–$5 weekly.
