Church Services Announced Across Several Congregations

United Presbyterians hold Sabbath services at 11 am and 7 am with Sunday School at 9 am. C E meeting at 7 pm. Pastors J C Rowery and CW Hanwxep lead at different chapel venues. Lamar and May Valley Churches hold morning and afternoon worship with Sunday School weekly. All welcome to attend. youth groups invited.

Public spirited citizens in five counties back a $2000 per county exhibit at the Omaha Exposition. The push aims to attract eastern home seekers to the Arkansas Valley by showcasing resources, climate, and growth prospects to attract immigration and land buyers.

May Valley social notes and incidents

W P James struggles to force a well into flow. A birthday party at E B Leatherman’s brought joy to all ages. The Friday lecture failed to occur and likely deprived an intellectual treat. Ira Swadley shipped hogs to Denver and accompanied the shipment. Russell Coates aimed to reclaim money if the lecture failed, seen with a large 45-60. Mr and Mrs H McVey surprised on their thirtieth anniversary with many friends joining despite cold weather. the event nearly filled the house and was enjoyed.
