It also notes a Senator Teller free coinage debate excerpt and outlines upcoming melon growers meetings in Rocky Ford Lamar and Holly with invitations for delegates and a Lamar stockholders meeting.

Field and Farm reports from Santa Fe livestock agent Mr. Lynch that the Arkansas valley sheep on feed now total 135,000, higher than prior estimates. The five and one half cents per pound price on the eastern market is noted.
All subscribers to the Lamar Melon Association must pay for their seed by Saturday January 19 as a draft meeting will follow shortly. Payments may be made to F. S. Hover the manager or G. T. Feast the secretary.
A farmers institute and picnic dinner will be held at the Wells school house on the north side on Tuesday February 22 starting at 10 30. The program includes talks on raising feeding and finishing cattle alfalfa hay canning cantaloupes wheat crops pork artichokes hog raising and farm ornamentation with speakers J A Wells W H Taylor G T Feast E C Gordon A L Beavers Kine ne omen and others.
