Farmers Picnic Near Lamar Draws Big Crowd
A large turnout attended a farmers picnic in the grove north of Lamar on Thursday. The day featured a bountiful basket dinner, speeches by J. D. Martin and L. M. Campbell of Bent county, music by the Wells and Doughty-Taylor group, and a youth declamation by May Woodard. Baseball between May Valley and Lamar ended 15 to 2 for Lamar.
