M O Coggins and L J Fort visited Lamar for this season’s melon handling. Lamar leads the valley with carload shipments. Cantaloupes fetch 3 to 4 dollars per crate in eastern markets. Church notices follow with Rev Knuckey at Methodist Church preaching The Tabernacle and Its Teachings in the morning and Gods Claim on Us in the evening.
