Laguna Woods Owls Shuffleboard and Club Activities Update
Three wins for Arlene Zecca and one for Fred Bailey boosted the Laguna Woods Owls to a 0-2 start with a Tuesday Oct. 4 road game at Forest Gardens. Shuffleboard lessons run Thursdays 10 to noon and Mondays 1 to 3. call Richard at 949 232 1163 for info. The Coed Softball Club meets Mondays at Sheep Hills Park at 9 a.m. with free gloves and gear. call 818-489-9422 for directions. The 50th anniversary Shirt Day is Monday Oct. 3 with cake at 10 a.m. Membership drive begins Nov. 8, dues rise to 10 for 2017, and new members can pay 5 for rest of 2016 or 10 for rest of 2016 and 2017. Singles play Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. Interclub with Seal Beach Leisure World Table Tennis on Oct. 22. 20 players from each side attend.
