OCTA funds cleanup with 2.8 million for 18 projects

Orange County Transportation Authority approves 2.8 million dollars from Measure M to fund 18 efforts removing trash from roadways and storm drains. Projects include trash trapping screens in 15 cities, runoff separators in Laguna Beach and Orange, and a bid infiltration scheme in Anaheim to curb stormwater contamination.

Rainbow Sandals Battle of the Paddle at Salt Creek

Stand up paddle race event held Oct 4-5 at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point moved from Doheny. Epic conditions with big surf, glassy wind, and strong waves challenged 75 to 100 racers.
