Laguna Beach to require flood proofing for downtown
The Planning Commission advanced an ordinance amendment mandating flood proofing devices such as flood gates or watertight doors in downtown Laguna Beach and other flood hazard zones. If implemented, the measure could reduce future damage, with a revised plan due back for a Dec. 12 vote before City Council approval.
