Carolyn Wood Named Woman of the Year by Laguna Beach Club
Carolyn Martins Wood is honored as Woman of the Year by the Woman's Club of Laguna Beach for her environmental activism. City officials and Supervisor Tom Wilson name Carolyn Wood View Knoll for its 360 degree views. She helped found Laguna Canyon Conservancy and Laguna Greenbelt efforts, preserving open space including Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. A luncheon honoring her is set for June 6 at St. Ann's Drive clubhouse, with tickets 20 dollars in advance or 25 at the door.
