Courtney’s SandCastle brings special needs kids to playground
Capistrano Unified School District bused 61 special needs students to Vista Hermosa Sports Park on June 12 to test Courtney’s SandCastle. The two hour visit let children in wheelchairs and with autism or various disabilities explore a castle pirate ship and dragon while staff noted the site offers amenities not found at regular parks. Judy Dore praised the event as exciting for students and underscored the park’s accessibility.
