Laguna weighs toolbox of parking strategies
Laguna Beach officials heard a parking consultant present a toolbox of strategies including information signs, longer meter enforcement hours, shared valet services, adjustable rates, extended shuttle service, peripheral parking, and converting coin meters to credit cards. The council agreed to outline an implementation plan but said findings remain conceptual and additional work is needed. Fire hazards and vegetation control with goats were also discussed as part of fuel reduction efforts with environmental review considerations.
