Library funds grow as Friends donate more for kids
Hof notes cuts avoided thanks to the Friends of the Library who provided 20 000 and then 25 000 for materials. The fund relies on book sales and donations from book lovers, while the library expands summer reading with tropical Tuesdays. About 400 to 500 children will sign up, with incentives of up to four paperbacks. Ring praises the library as a vital weekly stop, with her children reading at strong levels and enjoying favorites like Harry Potter and Newbery titles.
