Language program aids day workers through home study packets
Very few weeks bring a new packet of course materials for students who may keep it by paying 25 cents. The Crosscultural Council funds the early months, seeking churches or individuals to cover the rest of the year. Volunteers note the program helps workers gain communication skills needed for permanent work and some hope to start businesses. To volunteer or donate call 494-9675.
