Giant Rubber Duck Stays in L A for Festival
The 60-foot tall rubber ducky designed by Florentijn Hofman remains in Los Angeles for the Tall Ships Festival weekend and will not travel to Dana Point Harbor for the event on Sept 6-7. The sculpture, first West Coast appearance, required rights and a 10-ton platform, with organizers noting high costs but noting its broad appeal and symbolic message of unity.
