Laguna Beach car raffle winner drives to celebration
After three months and about five thousand dollars raised, KX/93.5 FM Laguna Beach raffle selects He len Evers of Costa Mesa as winner of a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass sold by Laguna Classic Cars. Evers may sell the car to donate proceeds to Animals Rule rescue and other charities. The car, once owned by 1965 Miss America Vonda Van Dyke, has 57,000 miles and sits mostly idle. The fundraiser supports the nearly year-old nonprofit radio station with about 500 tickets sold and additional prizes.
