Hundreds gathered at Lantern Bay Park for the 25th Orange County Seafood Festival near Laguna Cliffs Marriott. The event featured seafood, drinks, live music, a beer and wine mixer, and more than 100 exhibitors displaying goods.

Marine safety officials shut access to ocean water from North Beach to Lasuen Beach for about two hours after a great white was sighted near the Municipal Pier. Lifeguards lifted the closure at 1:40 p.m. with signs remaining, while fishermen and witnesses confirmed the sighting via photo.
