The Laguna Arts Festival featured Oncho Sanchez and His Latin Jazz Band at the Festival of Arts grounds drawing about 600 attendees. Upcoming Jazz on the Green concerts run Aug 10 Laws Family and Friends and Aug 17 Eric Marienthal All-Stars, all 1 to 3 p.m. Unreserved seating is free with festival admission. reserved seats are $25.

Laguna Beach Police Run DUI Checkpoint and Parking Meter Shift

Laguna Beach police screened 2265 vehicles and arrested two for DUI at a weekend checkpoint at Vista del Sol and South Coast Highway from 8 p m Friday to 2 a m Saturday. Seven drivers faced license suspensions and three others were arrested on various charges. twelve citations issued.
