Steam Laundry Now Assured for Ladysmith
D. N. Dunbar of Spooner has completed preparations to move his steam laundry to Ladysmith. The machinery is expected by week’s end and will occupy the Thomas building on East Wordenay. Dunbar brings 18 years in the business and uses an auto truck for pickup and delivery. His arrival is welcomed for Skinnett County’s public spirit and local economy.

Trains Delayed by Washouts Across State Railroads
Heavy rain caused multiple washouts on state railroads including a severe washout on the Soo Line near Owen and another on the Ashland division between Prentice and Spencer. Minneapolis trains were detoured via Omaha. the Velvet Special rerouted to Cameron and Ladysmith, arriving after 1 PM. Mixed trains ran with little delay. Velvet rerouted via Prentice until repairs completed overnight.
