Gollmar Bros Circus drew a large, orderly audience Monday with a three hour program featuring ten elephants the world’s largest, Japanese contortionists, female tumblers, riding and trapeze acts. The show traveled in five coaches and ten flat cars with 300 animals, arriving Sunday and exiting via the Soo to Barron.

Dr. Ross and Attorney Chas. Kirwan returned from a Canada trip. Dr. H. R. T. Ross fell ill with typhoid on the return journey and was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario near Toronto, where Kirwan stayed with him for a week. Mrs. Ross went to his bedside on Sunday.

Fire destroys Henzel home and outbuildings on Gates road
The residence of R Henzel six miles north on Gates road was burned Monday along with a stable and other structures. The mother, trapped by flames, sustained facial and arm injuries while attempting to save $50. The stove pipe is blamed for the blaze. No insurance coverage. A relief subscription is being circulated. The Henzels are listed as residents of eighty and live near J W Miller of this city.

G E Newman today loaded his household goods and will leave tomorrow with his family for Minneapolis where they will make their home while Mr Newman takes an extended trip through the west.
