An excellent musical program featured at the Congregational church service. A male quartet including Captain Williams George Lyell Fred Dahlberg and Lyle McCamson sang two selections. William Powers with Mrs Iona Armstrong followed the offertory playing Andante Religioso and contributed an obligato to Williams solo In Old Judea. McComson impressed with Stilly Night. Car Struck at Grade Crossing Near Tony Wisconsin
A Ford truck driven by Grover Iverson was struck by the noon westbound train No 85 at the depot crossing in Tony Wisconsin. All occupants were only slightly injured. Eight year old girl thrown across the track but the train stopped in time. The Iverson family lived on the Pat Wilson farm two and a half miles northeast of town.

Norwegian immigrant John Benson dies at 88 in Bay City Wisconsin
John Benson died December 24 1921 at age 88 11 months and 300 days. Burial December 28 in the churchyard near his Bay City Wisconsin old farm home. Born December 25 1832 in Thronsheim Norway he came to America 1858 settled Red Wing Minnesota 25 years then moved to a Bay City area farm for 35 years. Survived by son Bernard Benson of Bay City and daughters Edw. C. Stowell of White Butt South Dakota and S L Chicker of Ladysmith. Wife died three years nine months earlier.

Heller Mrs Bertha Louise Heller Dies at 73
Mrs Bertha Louise Heller aged 73 died at her daughter Augusta Adelsperger’s home after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at the home with Rev Sawyer officiating. Surviving are sons August Heller of Wittsville Wisconsin and Edward Heller of Spooner Wisconsin, who attended the funeral and accompanied the body to Hammond Indiana for burial. She leaves four grandchildren. husband and several children had died earlier.

Mary Elizabeth Crye died at her home near Ladysmith on December 23, 1921, at age 53 from apoplexy. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Ellingboe chapel, Ladysmith, conducted by Rev. C. W. Emery, with burial at Riverside. Born in Vernon County, Wisconsin, she was a pioneer settler with husband Zachariah Crye in Warner, now Ladysmith. Survived by husband and six children, including daughters Mrs. Sam Woodard and Mrs. Ben Offner of Ladysmith.
