The St Marys congregation prepares an impressive Christmas program with a junior choir. High Masses at 5:00 and 10:00 a m feature music designed to deepen reverence for the Infant Savior.
A lyceum course entertainment at the gymnasium Tuesday night featured Charles R. Taggart music al humorist. He weaves songs and anecdotes into a distinctive act and drew praise for the performance. Mr and Mrs H H Hinton and their son departed for Warrens Wisconsin to spend Christmas and will return Wednesday. Mrs F W Moulster of Minneapolis visits the Rote family for about two weeks before moving to Rochester Minnesota.
State Manager Caldwell assisted local deputy Mrs. Laura Smart. Tuesday night the local lodge elected officers: Pres. Geo. Miller Vice-Pres. Geo. Lyons Sec. Aaron Murry Judge for 3 years Miss Celia Skamser Doorkeeper Wm. Wyatt Conductor Guy Charmley.

The Winter Short Course for farm boys begins January 15, 1917 at the Rusk County Training School Ladysmith. Instructors O E Rice B Mac Dresden and G M Householder will teach four daily classes covering Practical Dairying Farm Arithmetic and related topics for boys fourteen and older not in school this winter.
County Superintendent O E Ric outlines upcoming teachers meetings and association work split into Eastern Western and Central divisions. Officers chosen for each division, meetings set at local schools, January and February sessions run ten to three, with programs in farm crops and business English and seven week course details.
John P. Rockefeller of Packwaukee and Mrs. Chris Schlesniss of Grant wed at the bride’s parents home, Rev. John Rutland officiating. Attendants were Miss Gertie Wick and Mr. Jesse Stevens. A wedding supper followed. newlyweds to reside on the groom’s farm near Packwaukee.
