Baby Son Dead In Hancock Family Tragedy
Leonard Lester Brazeau Jr seven months old died Wednesday at 1 05 am. The infant was sent to Ladysmith and arrived Thursday morning with his grandfather. Mrs Leonard Brazeau and her mother Mrs Henry Wilson are expected Friday. A prayer by Rev Clark will be offered Friday afternoon at the Henry Wilson home with burial in Riverside.

Death of Richard Wegner at 57 on Port Arthur road farm
Richard Wegner aged 57 died of cancer Tuesday morning at his farm home southwest of Ladysmith on the Port Arthur road. Funeral services were at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Rev J Flierl. burial in Riverside Cemetery. A single man, he had lived on the farm 14 years. brother Charles of Milwaukee helped with farm work and will return home. The farm was sold to Geo Moore and personal property at auction. Wegner was a leading poultry fancier with blooded Plymouth Rocks and Houdans shipped nationwide.

Fire destroys grocery store stock in Ladysmith
A winter fire gutted the Chas Baribeau grocery in Ladysmith Menasha ward late Sunday, destroying most stock and damaging the frame building. Estimated losses run about 1000 dollars for stock and a similar amount for building. Delays in alarms allowed the fire to spread before help arrived. Baribeau plans to rebuild and restock once arrangements are set, with insurance inadequate to cover the total loss.

Passenger locomotive hits automobile near crossing
