Farm School Offers Women and Men Practical Farming Instruction
The Rusk County Training School hosts a two week Farmers School and Women’s School from January 12 to 16. In cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and the University of Wisconsin, attendees will learn milk testing, corn judging, dairy cattle scoring, planting and harvesting, and home economics topics led by Miss E. B. Kelley and Miss Anna Pfund. Preference given to those who sign in advance. space limited.

Dennis O'Brien Ordered Committed to Mendota Asylum
Dennis O'Brien of Turtle Lake was pronounced insane by County Judge Maloney after examination by Drs. Bugher and Landmark. The court ordered commitment to Mendota asylum and remanded him to the county jail for Sheriff McNally to escort him. He had been arrested at Hawkins for indecent exposure and brought for trial.

Store Fire Destroys East End Shop
Small store owned by Roman and Matola in the east end was destroyed by fire at about 3 30 a.m. Sunday. The loss is estimated at 1600 dollars with 1100 dollars insured. The shop, built about a year ago, carried a small stock of groceries and meats and the origin of the blaze remains a mystery.
