The Superior Telegram tallies 34 hunters killed and 47 seriously wounded in Wisconsin and North Michigan deer season ending Wednesday. Deer harvest similar to last year. Huntsman Marvin Warner Dies After Shot Near Jump River
News from Jump River reports Marvin Warner was shot while hunting and died shortly after arrival at Chippewa Falls hospital. He is Vean Warner’s brother from this area who immediately traveled to Chippewa. It marks the third fatal shooting in the region since hunting season began on November 11.

Foreman Injured On Sulphite Mill Conveyor Fall
John Ducette, construction foreman at the Sulphite mill, fell 18 feet Tuesday while reattaching an outside conveyor pulley. He suffered a broken collarbone and three ribs. Taken home to West Fritz Ave, a doctors conference followed and he is reported to be recovering.

Heavy Mail Transfer Initiated on Chicago Division
The Chicago division began heavy mail transfer on November 14 with a large amount moved between depots. On Wednesday night 18 pouches totaling 1800 pounds were handled. C. F. Winn and J. L. Ryall submitted bids to carry the mail between the two depots.

Funeral for Two Boys Drowns in Flam beau Sketch
The funeral of Walter Van Oosterhout and John Toepfer was held at the German Lutheran church with Rev. H Baumbach presiding. The service drew a large crowd as the community offered sympathy. The 10 year old Van Oosterhout died rescuing the younger boy after he skated into an air hole. Abe Sharp of Ingram ordered more sale bills and will take charge of his new store in Neudorf Saskatchewan on Jan 1, closing his Ingram store December 24.
