An Austrian laborer employed by Effner Nelson on a railroad grading contract drowned Sunday in Bass Lake about sixteen miles north of the city. His body lay underwater for six hours before being recovered and he was buried at Rice Lake.

Man Injured While Torn Down Barn in Apollonia
