Church News Monday Noon Invites New Members Evening Reception
Personal invitations have been sent to new members and the parsonage family looks forward to welcoming them between 6 30 and 10 p m on Wednesday August 1 at the church noon service.
Mrs. McLewis Hosts Alvina Burch Circle
The Alvina Burch Circle of Paul's Union Church met July 19 at Mrs. Minnie McLewis home with thirteen attendees. Visitors included Grace Pennington Sue Speer Naomi Ferguson Effie Mae Hall and Nash. A devotional Jesus Our Greatest Friend was given by Karen Nunn followed by prayer. Ruth Lowder led II Corinthians 10 study stressing giving glory to God. After a brief business session members recited the Lord's Prayer. Next meeting is a covered dish luncheon on August 2 at Mrs. Lowder's home.
