The new city ordinance clarifies that peddlers are restricted except for newspapers Bibles religious tracts agricultural products and domestic fruits sold at railroad depots while trains stand. It mirrors state law and requires licenses for house to house sales amidst farm harvests in Union county and shifts court term dates to March.
Opening day centers on exhibit setup with a band concert and talks by Pierce Rinehart Wright. Each day features free performances, platform dancing, stock parades, football games, and acts by Littlejohn Cox Himes Moorhouse and others at the exposition grounds in La Grande Oregon.
