Rev A L Thoroughman was elevated to presiding elder of the Spokane district and the full appointment list includes Walla Walla and Eastern Oregon assignments with several pastors to be supplied.

Piers for the Oro Dell bridge will be finished by tomorrow and steel spans, delayed by shippers, should arrive around October 15. Completion of work above the bridge and river channel straightening will restore all washed out bridges within days.
