Portland dispatch reports Congregman Binger Herman pleads not guilty to land fraud conspiracy after Judge Hunt overrules the demurrer. In the Willismoon trial Campbell Duncan repeats prior testimony and confirms an agreement to take up government land with intent to transfer it to the defendants.
The Taft party will sail from Nagasaki to Yokohama tomorrow and attend a Tea Guild dinner, then proceed to San Francisco on the 27th. Charles Edwards heads the group aboard the mission ship, with plans to reach Ban Fran for the final leg.
