At a Union County exposition board meeting the building committee was ordered to construct the exposition building. John Stienback, currently works on the Island City farmers warehouse, will oversee the project. Work starts next week and bids for canvas furnishing are expected soon to speed completion.

Effective September ordand until further notice local tickets will not be honored on Train No. 8 between Portland and Huntington. The train will still stop to pick up passengers destined to points east of Huntington.
