At New Castle Pennsylvania railroad detectives and a posse pursue bandits after the Royal Blue Limited wreck on the Baltimore and Ohio line at midnight. Two men killed John Whenatcroft and J A Dil both of Chicago Junction. Fifty injured and armed guards protect the scene where a large express-car loot was reportedly planned. A love fall on the embankment caused the wreck.
