Cove residents welcomed La Grande Commercial Club boosters who visited with Cove business and fruit leaders. The group, including Crowe Collier Currey Wright Scroggins Mansaeger Silverthorne Black Slough Williams, discussed joining a two county development scheme and sending a local representative to form a league. Cherries are expected to yield about 60 percent, improving outlook for Cove and valley growers.
