Snyder May 12 The wreckage of the tornado is being cleared and order restored. The dead are in new caskets and funeral preparations underway. Injured are moved to Lowton and Oklahoma City. A relief committee plans supply handling and citizens pledge funds to rebuild. Identified dead reach ninety one. fatalities expected around one hundred sixteen.

Russian Warships Sighted Near Kaura by Vietoria Maru

The Vietoria Maru reports sighting two Russian warships from the Vladivostok squadron twenty miles northwest of Kaura on May 9. The vessels were heading south.

Baltic fleet volunteers sighted near Wanfong bay Indo China

Report states the Kiritah torpedo estote ship Beckton sighted several volunteer cruisers of the Baltic fleet near Wanfong bay in Indo China. They asked if the British vessel had been any men of war and were answered in the negative. Mrs Elia Pickett departed for Appleton Wallowa county to visit her sister Mrs Coblemta.

In the Hoch murder trial Undertaker Prayne testified that embalming fluid used for Mrs Marie Walker Hoch could not be tampered with and was the same as that supplied by St Louis manufacturers who stated no arsenic was used in its manufacture.

Whitman College Dominates Walla Walla Meet

A Walla Walla message notes Whitman College won most events at the meet in La Grande. Whitman claimed the hammer throw with a distance of 133 feet and swept sprint events, including the 100 yard dash in 10 seconds and the 220 yard dash in 23ⅽ seconds.

Reports from Owen county indicate several people were killed as a severe storm swept through the area today. The storm caused fatalities and damage as it moved across the county.

Free Patterson Released From Jail On Own Renessance

Nan Patterson was freed from jail after a morning court appearance as District Attorney Jerome moved for release. Attorney Abe Levy Daniel O'Reilly and her feather accompanied her to the courtroom. Patterson planned to go to Washington to see her mother and reconcile past events.

Smiths arraigned after Nan Patterson discharge in court

Mr and Mrs J Morgan Smith were arraigned an hour after Nan Patterson was discharged before Justice Foster. Mrs Smith discharged on district attorney motion. Mr Smith also discharged but immediately arrested on a body attachment issued June last year. Smith case adjourned to Tuesday morning to allow filing of a brief.
