Jack Childs leaves tomorrow for Alaska to assume work with Gregg Niceom companies and to file several mining claims for local residents. The firm has developed a new device for gold miners and reported rich ore findings in Alaska during experiments. Childs will oversee multiple interests in the firm while there.
W. R Hemilton and his son Chester departed in the morning for Salt Lake City to be away about a week or ten days.
In Union County Circuit Court Charles D. Goodnough sues George Mitchell Rachel Ladd Eva Andress and Charles Ladd heirs of John Ladd deceased. Defendants are summoned to answer by June 18 1909 or risk decree barring claims to lots seven and eight block three C street La Grande Oregon. Judge J W Knowles ordered six publications in La Grande Weekly Observer beginning May 7 1909. Ivanhoe Hodgin Attorneys for plaintiff.
The Justice Court in La Grande District Oregon issues a summons against EE Ralston and partner Ralston Co. to appear by May 28 1809. Failure to answer may lead to judgment for 19 dollars plus costs. Published per order of Justice A Stewart with weekly notices in La Grande Evening Observer from April 15 1909.
