The trial of Jeff Scriber on forgery and irregularity charges connected to a bank in La Grande will begin Monday in Portland. A large transport of La Grande citizens will ride to the metropolis tonight, with a dedicated car carrying named local attendees. United States Attorney John McCourt led preparation for a strong government case, while Scriber’s friends await possible new developments.
